Golden Bridge Institute is a language and culture school located in Los Angeles, California of USA. It was established in 1995 and its major service is teaching the Chinese language.

The Golden Bridge Chinese Series is composed in order to share teaching materials and experience with those persons who want to learn or to teach Chinese.

Chinese Phonetic Notation is the first set of the Golden Bridge Chinese Series. It is a guidebook on Chinese Phonetic Notation for children in the United States and other countries in which the native language is English.

The set of books is made up of three parts:

The first part is Textbook. The author selects the titles of a family's members and personal pronouns as the main carriers for the initials (consonants) and finals (vowels) in Chinese words, because most of the initials (consonants) and finals (vowels) in Chinese words are covered by these titles and pronouns. It is very easy for young students to understand and remember what the textbook shows even in the second language to them.

The second part is Workbook, in which the initials and finals the students have learned will appear over and over again. It ensures the students' knowledge before they go on.

The third part is Intensive Exercises. Every Chinese word the students are asked to read loud is accompanied by an illustration and a corresponding English word, which are adopted from the American textbook from kindergarten to second grade.

The Communicate in Chinese texts have 40 scenarios (40 topics) in total, published as a set of four books, each book comprises ten lessons, the last one being a revision lesson. The teaching materials concentrate on spoken Chinese, through the characters' daily activities as presented in the situational dialogues, language context is reflected and students will find their interest grow as they gradually grasp the ability to communicate in Chinese.

The text has split up expressions that are used in daily life into several topics, each lesson focuses on some of the expressions on the topic, with situational dialogues, new words, common expressions, cultural background, language points, notes, substitutional drills, this integrates comprehension with practical usage. To speed up the learning process for TV viewers and learners so that they can communicate with Chinese people in simple situations, each lesson has been divided into three parts, the first two parts mainly explain the dialogue and include explanations of the cultural background and language points, while the third part is for revision and contains substitutional drills of common expressions. It can be seen that dialogue is given a primary role while exercises complement the learning of conversations. This set of teaching materials and television program aims to allow viewers to become adept at using Chinese to communicate in daily life.

KUAILE HANYU consists of six books with three levels, with both a student's book and teacher's book at each level. KUAILE HANYU accords with learner's psychological conditions and needs of the student from 11 to 16 years old, and with the requirements of foreign language curricula of certain countries. KUAILE HANYU focuses on the training of Chinese communicative competence, and also on motivating the learners. It is devoted to forming a solid foundation for the learners' further study.

In the process of compiling, the textbooks were tried out in some junior middle schools in UK under the organization of the British Council. After soliciting opinions from the experts concerned and with the permission of NOCFL, the textbooks have been published in the UK by the British Council with the title Chinese for GCSE.

Other materials are also provided to intensify the teaching:

Chart: 10 pieces, including subjects of number, time, date, weather, food, room, article and phonetic practicing materials.

Vocabulary card: Providing cards with visual impressions (102 cards for book Vol.1, 127 cards for Vol.2, 93 cards for Vol.3), helping students to recognize and understand new words.

Chinese character card: For handwriting practice, with phonetic symbol and writing instruction.

Audio-tape: Including vocabulary, sample sentence, text and listening exercise of all 3 vols.

Learn Chinese with Me is a series of textbooks designed for high school students. It is mainly targeted at high school students (or teenagers aged between 15 and 18 learning Chinese as a second language) whose mother tongue is English, and at teaching Chinese to 9-12 grades in high schools in North America. The series is designed for the teaching of Chinese from beginner to intermediate level and about 2,000 Chinese words are included in the 4 Student's Books.

The entire series of Learn Chinese with Me is composed of 12 books, including 4 Student's Books, 4 Teacher's Books, 4 Workbooks and other phonetic and listening materials and multimedia materials supplemented to the Student's Books.

As a series, Books 1-4 of Learn Chinese with Me possess the following features: The functions and language points in the two neighbouring books are advanced in spiral cycles that sometimes overlap so as to enable the students to learn the knowledge step by step. The grammar structures and functions in Books 1 and 2 are combined together under a certain topic. Books 3 and 4 focus on functional usages while maintaining language points.

With regard to functional usages, Books 1 and 2 focus on spoken expression of single sentences; Books 3 and 4 are aimed at equipping the students with speaking abilities to express themselves in a set of sentences and improving their reading abilities.

As a supplement to the Student's Book, there are 6-8 types of interesting exercises for each lesson in the Workbook, and the forms will change accordingly when the content of the textbook moves towards a higher level. The Workbook can be used both as self-learning materials and for classwork.

The Teacher's Book provides teachers with introductions to each unit and lesson, compiling principles, supplementary materials to each lesson in the Student's Book, teaching approaches, and language evaluation strategies etc.
